In 1990 Honda proved that a mid-engined supercar could start every morning, see out of its own windows and still humble cars that cost twice as much. The NSX had an all-aluminum body, a VTEC V6 behind the seats and a chassis sharpened with input from Ayrton Senna. Sold in America as the Acura NSX, it changed what buyers expected from the class.
This print captures the first-generation car in red, with the pop-up headlights down and the canopy-style glasshouse that was inspired by fighter jet cockpits. The long, low tail and the full-width rear spoiler are drawn in clean detail.
A poster for people who admire engineering that does not shout about itself.
